Where To Buy Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom Switch OLED Console And Pro Controller

Just not long ago upgraded to Switch OLED and like the white and black.
I do need another pro controller but £20 more than the standard black one a bit much.
There is a cost of living crisis on at the minute.

Would be nice to know where you can pre-order them in Europe i.e Germany.

Tempting I might get the OLED since I don’t have one yet but honestly not sure if I really want to spend the cash on that right now.

I find the white grip on the pro controller ruins the look of it. If someone else loves the colour fantastic. I am glad you love the look of it where I can't.

Not 100% on it yet as I feel like the Switch successor is around the corner but hey, Zelda collector’s editions are usually pretty well regarded.

Any idea why the pro controller has one white grip? It just looks so out of place.

The Best Buy preorder is now available, and Nintendo gets me again. Be logged in first as Best Buy made the check out more scalper resilient. I waited in a digital queue, had to provide a contact number to receive a verification number, then one has 10 minutes to complete checkout..

Pre-ordered the Switch and the Pro Controller. Didn't want to, but they are too beautiful to pass up.

If I remember correctly, people said that this was fake and ugly when it got leaked? And suddenly people want it because it's real?

Where can you buy/pre-order them in (continental) Europe? I'm usually too late getting these special editions, hoping to change that for once, but all that I've been able to do is register my interest at the My Nintendo store along with apparently thousand of others... -_-

GAME, Shopto and Smyths Toys are already sold out, Curry's, Amazon and Nintendo haven't got it up yet and even if they did they'd be already gone.

@CptProtonX I just did the same. Preorder completed thru Best Buy. Have to pick up in store though but that’s ok. Honestly I like the Splatoon model better. May grab one of those also.

As for Game, they did sell out yeah, as I actually saw stock available and got one myself, before getting it for a better price at ShopTo (which has also now sold out lol). So I'll be cancelling my Game order

They are really beautiful. If you are a Zelda fan this is a great for you. I know there are lot of stuff like this Zelda controllers, toys and many Amiibo. The serie is more popular than ever. It was not like this popular in the 1998 year and 2000 years with Ocarina of time and Majora's mask.

I was able to get my hands on a preorder for the OLED Switch through GameStop. Looks like preorders are in-store only, not online. I was in the market for a new Switch, anyway, since the fan in my original model (bought on launch day) is making a loud, whining noise.

Sadly, it looks like the Pro Controller is sold out already, as those were online-only. I already have a regular pro controller, so it's not a huge loss, I guess. I'll just have to see if GameStop or Best Buy will have any extras available beyond what was preordered, or if a second wave of preorders is incoming. I was still able to snag the case, though.

Just buy a standard OLED and write "I Like Zelda" on it with a Sharpie

@SuperRetroArt Tell me about it. I'm scared to play anything on my current Switch right now, because I don't want it overheating and causing even more damage to the system. I was concerned enough during the last Splatfest in Splatoon 3.

Just pre-ordered mine from Best Buy. Continuing the tradition of buying a zelda-themed console either as an upgrade or new system (did this for the N3DSXL and Wii U, and now a Switch OLED upgrade)

CE, Amiibo, OLED, Pro Controller and Case preordered. This is taking me back to the Nintendo Switch launch day when I had pretty much everything preordered. The gamestop employees at the store I had for pickup couldn’t believe it and threw in some Switch themed promo stuff (bag, lanyard - probably meant for employees) as a thank you

@RupeeClock oh that's excellent, I had no idea they'd implemented a new process. Hopefully that means I'll be able to drop my overpriced collector's edition order with ShopTo. Wish they'd done this for the bloody Xenoblade 3 CE that's for sure!
Do you happen to know if PayPal will be able to be used as a payment option? I know on some websites they don't let you use PayPal when pre-ordering but I can't remember whether the MNS does or not 🤔

It reminds me of the 3DS Majora's Mask Edition. That thing was just too beautiful

@RupeeClock yeah I got a copy of Bayonetta the other day through the special email link. But it's so strange how after all that wait they now have enough stock for anyone to just get. They must've got a lot more stock than needed lol

I'm not buying either. I think the pro is one of the worst designs Nintendo has done, out of all the special editions.

The OLED is cool looking but I'm not in the market for a new Switch. I can't justify the minimal upgrade.

GameStop OELD TOTK and online Zelda Pro Controller. That's what I did for preorder release. Whether one buys OLED Zelda or Zelda Pro that's up to them. Just cause some poster on here don't want to that isn't what the PreOrder stats are showing. A small minority whining for nothing much. Only those that experienced or fan of Zelda from back days knows what this means to them and why it's selling out. Those not in the know well you can tell from the comments already.

If they would sell those joycon, I'd be interested.

I still have my Day 1 Switch and it works just fine. Not sure I can justify getting a new version so late in the console cycle.

@blockfight You're lucky. The fan in mine (also acquired Day 1) is going out. Any time I play a game, such as Splatoon 3, it starts making a loud, whining noise, especially in Docked Mode. That's the only reason why I preordered this new Switch.

In fact, the GameStop employee who rung me up said that they have been getting increasing reports of people who are reporting the exact same issue, that the Day 1 Switches are beginning to die out on people. And that was AFTER he rung me up, mind you, so it's not like he was trying to pressure me into buying it.

@AstroTheGamosian It has been on my mind a little to replace it given it is 6 years old now. I guess I could sell it second hand to offset the cost of the OLED. Just seems unneccesary when it's still working fine.

@blockfight I'll be getting a $600+ refund check from the hospital in the mail, due to overpaying for a breathing test that I had earlier this month (curse you, American healthcare system, and your broken private insurance companies that approve expensive procedures weeks after the fact), so that will offset the costs for mine, plus part of the $2000+ I just spent buying up all the 3DS and Wii U games that I wanted before their eShops shut down earlier this week.

Just got the pre order for the console itself but the pro controller not available yet here it seems. I'm not even sure I want to spend the money yet but I can at least change my mind if need be.

@AstroTheGamosian I caved last night. Seen I could get roughly €180 for my OG Switch so basically getting the new OLED for half the price. Pre-ordered it last night. Still not sure if I'll go ahead with the transaction or cancel it but for now it's ordered. Eeek!

@blockfight I plan on keeping my old Switch as a backup; I'll just have to get the fan fixed. As a collector of video games and consoles, I don't sell or trade in my stuff.

However, I will be getting a refund check to the tune of almost $690 from the hospital because my health insurance company dragged their feet to approve a $734 pulmonary function test that I had in the beginning of March (curse you, American healthcare system).

So that'll not only pay for my new Switch, but also help to partially recoup the money I spent on the 3DS and Wii U eShops before they shut down earlier this past week (to which I must have spent at least $2000).

@AstroTheGamosian Wow, €2000. I've massively cut back my spending on games in the last few years. I pretty much only buy games I intend on playing straight away and then actually finish it. Buying that many games at once would screw my backlog completely haha

Figured it’s easier to cancel the pre-order or offer to someone that wants it and couldn’t get one (for the same price, no scalping here) than it is to decide I do want one later and not be able to get a pre-order.

I’m getting memories of when the Animal Crossing Switch was announced - pre-ordered, cancelled, OLED announced not long after - at least I don’t think it was long after time during the pandemic seems to have squished together.

Your looking at eBay Scalpers for those Joy-Cons assuming you find them. It's most likely limited and won't return and most that Remember Zelda days will keep them rather then play them. I will keep mine but one day will have to turn it on to keep it working but first thing would be a temper glass protector is going to go on it.

@blockfight Well, they were all games I had been meaning to get, anyway. I just never got around to getting them. Some that I was particularly keen on getting were the Zelda games (specifically, Tri Force Heroes and Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS, and Twilight Princess HD and the DLC for Breath of the Wild on Wii U).

I also wanted to get my hands on the Fire Emblem games (especially Awakening), the Pokémon games, Metroid Prime:
Federation Force, Kid Icarus: Uprising, the Professor Layton games, the Shantae games (including Risky's Revenge, The Pirate's Curse, and Half-Genie Hero), the Senran Kagura games, and any associated DLC.

I actually made a checklist for both systems, trying to frantically download everything. But I wasn't able to get all of what I wanted, sadly. A big part of why was because of how long it would take to download each game, especially on the 3DS. Plus, certain games, like Fire Emblem, required me to play through a significant portion of the game before I could unlock the DLC Shop.

I can only hope that Nintendo will rerelease some or all of this content on the Switch or whatever will be the successor to the Switch. Otherwise, we're going to start seeing ROMs of this stuff start popping up real soon. And I'd rather get it legitimately.
